đ± From a Dream to Reality
I still canât believe I really did it. The idea planted in my head and I made it my goal to to arrange my very first retreat. I started planing in February and went fully into action in April all the while working full time at my day job and teaching classes at the gym and studio. Crazy what you can accomplish with full devotion, passion and willpower. I had never even experienced a Retreat myself. I kind of just went with what I believed and imagined I would like. I did some research, decided on a theme, an intention and trusted the process.
đĄ Finding the Perfect Place
With that trust in the process I also found the location of the reatreat, came by coincidence actually. I decided to check it out and went there and found it perfect. Aerialie Lodge it is. Wonderful place to relax, recharge and reconnect, surrounded with nature and good energy.
đ€ Meeting My Perfect Co-Facilitator
During the planning I reached out to breathwork coaches and I was blessed with a last minute call with Nodi Islam, a lovely girl through a good friend. She works as a Social Worker, Therapist (CBT & AFT), Breathwork Guide, and Motivational Coach. With over 10 years of experience as a social worker, Nodi has devoted her career to supporting individuals through lifeâs emotional and psychological challenges. Her work is rooted in deep compassion, presence and a genuine curiosity about the human experience.
I found the perfect person to partner with to bring my reatreat to fruition. She was the last puzzel piece that I needed to complete my vision.
We met at an Asian restaurant and hit it off from the very beginning. We talked and planned the reatreat until the place closed. Our beautiful energy and collaboration brought us to finalize the project in that first meeting.
I am forever grateful.
đ The First Day â Arrival & Opening Circle
Then came the D-day when the reatreat started. Me and Nodi departed by train at 5:10 am and arrived around 10:00 am.
We started to prepare as much as we could and soon the participants started to drop in one by one. We finally got everyone together and opened the first circle where we all gave a short introduction about ourselves.
And from there everything just took off.
I am feeling tremendously blessed in not only managing this reatreat but gathering such a lovely group of beautiful souls with amazing enthusiasm and energy.
Iâm so happy and grateful for their trust and support throughout my very first Reatreat.
Nodi and I complimented eachother perfectly throughout everything. We had an amazing flow between physical movements and internally, with profound breathwork and beautiful guided meditation.
đ Elemental Flows: Our Intention
The intention of Elemental flows was to bring awareness, healing and reclaim our powers by mixing the elements and using them as our tools in our practice on and off the mat. Remembering that weâre not separated from nature and all of its forces.
đ„ Nourishment for Body & Soul
The food, which was organic and vegan was amazing and left you feeling energized after every meal. The vibrant colors, variety of flavors and culinary creativity brought magic to each meal. And the greatest of all was that it was made with such love and passion. Thank you Mariađ«¶đ»
âïž Facing Fears: The Ice Bath Experience
Another highlight was the Ice bathing. I was preparing myself that half of the group would skip that exercise because itâs extreme and unpleasant for some to do. But with the calm introduction by Nodi, coupled with breathwork and guidance everyone felt safe to try.
It was so beautiful to be a part of seeing people overcome fear and uncertainty that often inhibits people from living to the fullest and miss the opportunity for growth.
đž Letting Go & Planting Seeds
Another intention for the reatreat was to help the participants to recognize whatâs important in their life and what they mabye need to let go of to truly be able to create space for what they want more in life and plant seed for new beginnings.
To manifest the act of planting seeds, everyone got 3 seeds each and took a walk around the garden to plant their seeds. We also had a ceremonial bonfire where we wrote down 3 things that we want to let go of to clear our path.-
âš Gratitude & Looking Ahead
This weekend was truly magical and a beautiful experience.
One again Iâm so grateful for every moment off this retreat. Itâs clarified a lot of things that I doubted before and instilled the confidence for me to see that Iâm on the right path. I truly want to help people to be the best version of themselves and build their confidence.. For me yoga is healing; itâs art and endless expansion.
Now more than ever Iâm stoked to arrange next Reatreat. The only clue Iâll give is that itâs some where in Europe.đ
